Topics: Logic and proof, Sets and functions, The Real numbers, Sequences, Limits and continuity. We will study these topics from a much more basic and rigorous point of view than in earlier courses. If time permits, we will look at the underpinnings of differentiation and integration.
Grade: There will be two take-home problem sets, each counting 20% of the final grade. There will be a mid-term counting 25%, a final exam counting 35%.
