| Topics: | We will cover topics in Logic and Proofs, Set Theory, Relations, Functions, Cardinality, Concepts of Algebra, and Concepts of Number Theory. The underlying theme of the course is to develop an understanding of what constitutes a mathematical proof, an ability to read a proof and an ability to produce a proof. |
| Grade: | There will be two take-home problem sets, each counting 20% of the final grade. There will be a mid-term counting 25% and a final exam counting 35%. |
